Does my website have their own IP number or is it shared?
All hosted accounts have a shared IP number, however for an additional $10.00 annually you can have your own static IP address. Please note that there is no setup fee for this, but if for any reason you cancel your account with WebSiteTrax this portion of your charges is non refundable.
How am I billed?
We bill thru PayPay. You do not need a PayPal account to use this service. We also will accept cashiers checks and business or personal checks, but service is not rendered until such checks are cleared by the bank.
How do I get my website transferred to your server?
All you have to do is download the files off your current host and upload them to our servers via any ftp client ( coreFTP or wsftp ) or publisher. You can transfer it yourself or we would be happy to do this for you at no charge.
How do I get started?
It is fast and simple. First select the hosting plan you want. Purchase the plan (you have a 90 day trial period with your purchase). You will be directed to a page for your website information. As soon as we get the approval and information, your account will be setup. You will receive a "Welcome Letter" with all the instructions to setup your site.
How do I set up my email?
WebSiteTrax web hosting clients can set up POP Accounts, Forwarders/Aliases, & Auto-Responders in the Web Browser Control Panel that comes with every WebSiteTrax web hosting package. This can be done by yourself, and without any assistance from the our staff.
How do I upload my files?
The best way is FTP.
How fast are accounts set up?
In most cases within the hour we receive the approval and information during our business hours (9:00am to 5:00pm CST Monday thru Saturday)Although our support hours are 24/7, support does not set up accounts.
How fast are websites set up?
This depends on what you mean by setting up websites. If you are transferring from another hosting company the site can be setup immediately. If you are designing or having us design a website, the length of time is variable.

What if I want to upgrade my website?
You may upgrade or downgrade your WebSiteTrax web hosting package at any time. You will be required to pay the difference in the fee for your current plan, and the plan you are upgrading to, should you decide to choose a larger plan. You will then pay the new monthly fee for the new account package that you select.
What if my site breaks your "acceptable usage policy" rules?
Users' sites may be suspended for violations of policy, or if extreme, or second time offenders, sites may be cancelled. Each occurance is dealt with on a case by case basis, and we try to work things out with every client. Notifications will be sent, if WebSiteTrax takes any action on your account.
What if the server my website is on gets hacked or attacked?
Individually hacked websites are rare. If such occurs, usually they are a target for a reason; hate sites, pirated software, etc... WebSiteTrax does not host such websites. If such material is found, it is deleted immediately and the user's account cancelled. Usually the target is the whole server itself. Hackers usually go after a server just to say that "they did", or to use the server to bounce off of to hack something more important. Rarely are any users' files on the server damaged, erased, or modified. For this reason, once a hacker is detected, a server can usually be cleaned up and the hacker locked back out within a matter of hours. At that time the server is restored to full security levels, as if the hack has never occurred. Most hackers get into a system thru valid user accounts. We recommend you use complicated passwords for your account. Security checks are run on the servers daily, so even if a hacker does get in, they are found and dealt with quickly. Most hackers are not malicious, they are just playing or testing their abilities.

CPanel is the brand name of the web browser control panel software that WebSitetrax utilizes on its web hosting packages. A demo of the control panel can be found on our tutorial page.
What is included in my website package?
WebSiteTrax provides full hardware, software, support, and system administration for your WebSiteTrax hosted plan. The software provided includes the operating system, ftp & email software, web server software, and a control panel. WebSiteTrax even includes free e-commerce shopping cart software. Everything you need to conduct business on the Internet, or maintain a personal website, is included in your hosting plan. WebSiteTrax will provide basic support on services/software that we provide you with your account. WebSiteTrax does not develop your website for you as paqrt of your hosting package, nor provide tech support on how to use software products that we do not provide to your directly...even if we do support them. We are always more than willing to help you if we can though with external issues, time permitting...
